The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) recently conducted an operation named “Sljivica” in collaboration with several other law enforcement agencies, resulting in the arrest of 13 suspects and the seizure of various items linked to organized crime activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the operation on July 9, conducted in multiple locations across the country, authorities found and confiscated significant evidence including thousands of packs of cigarettes, money, vehicles, tobacco, and various other items related to illegal activities. The total value of the confiscated goods is estimated to be around 450,000 BAM.
The suspects are believed to be involved in crimes such as illegal trade, money laundering, and the illegal circulation of excise goods. One suspect is currently at large, while the others have been interrogated and are being held in custody as the investigation progresses.
This successful operation reflects the commitment of law enforcement in Bosnia and Herzegovina to combat organized crime and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
