Israeli Attacks on UNRWA: A Strategy of Destruction
The ongoing Israeli attacks on UNRWA facilities in Gaza, including schools, are deliberate war crimes, resulting in the deaths and injuries of innocent civilians seeking shelter. Israel’s campaign to criminalize UNRWA is part of a broader effort to dismantle the organization and erase the issue of Palestinian refugees.
Despite international condemnation, Israel accuses UNRWA of supporting ‘terrorist’ activities without evidence, leading to a funding crisis and attempts to designate the organization as a ‘terrorist group’. This hostile attitude threatens the core mission of UNRWA and the Right of Return for Palestinian refugees.
As Israel targets UNRWA, the international community must reject these tactics and uphold the rights of Palestinian refugees. Without addressing the plight of refugees, true peace and justice in the region remain elusive.
