Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, issued a stern warning to Israel, stating that any attempt to displace Palestinians to Jordanian territory would be seen as a declaration of war. The warning was delivered during a press conference with the German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock. Safadi accused Israel of escalating tensions in the West Bank and called on the international community to intervene before the situation worsens.
Safadi emphasized that Israel’s actions have destroyed any chance of achieving a just peace and criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for obstructing a potential hostage swap deal. He also clarified that Jordan would not send soldiers to unresolved conflicts as targets.
The recent violence in the West Bank and Gaza has resulted in numerous casualties, with the Israeli army launching a major military operation. Tensions remain high in the region following the International Court of Justice’s ruling against Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land.
It is crucial for all parties to seek peaceful solutions to avoid further escalation and bloodshed in the region.
