Morocco Shines at FOCAC Summit in Beijing: A Recap
The recent Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing showcased Morocco’s commitment to advancing the development and prosperity of Africa. Under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco emerged as a key player in promoting pragmatic and solidarity-based partnerships within a win-win framework.
The Summit, attended by leaders from China and African countries, highlighted key areas such as industrialization, governance, infrastructure, and peace. Documents adopted at the event, including the Beijing Declaration and the 2025-2027 Action Plan, marked a significant step in strengthening China-Africa relations.
Notably, Morocco’s efforts to showcase its achievements for Africa while countering challenges from Algeria were successful, thanks to the diligent work of Moroccan diplomacy. The Summit also recognized Morocco’s leadership in areas such as artificial intelligence and counter-terrorism, further solidifying its role as a strategic player in China-Africa cooperation.
