Muslim women back Harris post DNC snub, group disbanded.

After creating a buzz by announcing their disbandment, the group “Muslim Women for Harris” has now shifted gears and is reinforcing their support for the Democratic Party’s presidential candidates. This change of heart comes amidst concerns within the party about retaining Muslim and Arab voters, especially regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s stance on Israel.

Despite initial split support for Harris among Muslim Americans, the group is pushing for unity behind her and Governor Walz in the upcoming elections. They plan to continue advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza and policy reforms while backing the Harris-Walz campaign.

Following a controversy at the Democratic National Convention where demands to feature a Palestinian speaker were denied, Muslim Women for Harris briefly disbanded. However, they resurfaced, emphasizing the importance of supporting Harris for the community.

With growing disillusionment over US policies concerning Israel among Muslim voters, the group’s reversal has garnered attention and sparked discussions in various media outlets. The election outcome will determine the future path either with Harris or Trump, as conveyed by the group.
