Major General Obaidallah Maaytah, Director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), engaged in discussions with various police delegations during the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) 2024. The meetings aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance cooperation frameworks, and explore new partnership opportunities.
Noteworthy agreements were signed, including a memorandum with the Rwanda National Police to facilitate collaboration in training expertise exchange. Additionally, a partnership was formalized with the Qatari Lekhwiya Force to focus on training, capacity building, and expertise sharing.
Maaytah’s interactions extended to delegations from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and other nations. The emphasis was on addressing global challenges like cross-border crime through collaborative efforts and knowledge exchange in training, technology, and security.
The delegations lauded the warm reception and expressed their eagerness to expand collaboration with the PSD, drawing from shared experiences to advance police and security work.
With a commitment to international cooperation in line with royal directives, Maaytah highlighted the PSD’s dedication to fostering partnerships and addressing emerging security threats on a global scale.
