Japan is thrilled to have Jordan participate in the upcoming “Expo Osaka 2025,” scheduled to take place in Osaka, Japan, from April onwards for six months. Saburi Masataka, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, highlighted the significance of Jordan’s participation in the event, which will host 160 countries.
The expo presents an opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Jordan and Japan, especially in the field of information technology. With Jordan’s young population and Japan’s aging demographics, both countries can collaborate on joint projects.
Organized every five years since 1970, “Expo Osaka” attracts millions of visitors to explore various pavilions and events. Saburi emphasized the need to expand economic cooperation between Jordan and Japan, given the modest trade exchange figures.
Japan is committed to supporting Jordan through various projects, acknowledging the challenges in the region. With Japan facing economic challenges such as a declining birth rate and population decrease, the government is actively working on encouraging childbirth and supporting families.
Despite these challenges, Japan remains committed to enhancing cooperation with Jordan and other countries at the global event.
