Lebanon Rocked by More Explosions, Nine Dead
Tragedy strikes Lebanon once again as a new wave of explosions claims the lives of at least nine individuals, following a series of deadly blasts involving pagers a day prior. The latest incidents occurred across multiple locations in the country, including at a funeral for a child victim of the previous explosions.
Reports indicate that the detonated devices were from the same batch as the pagers responsible for Tuesday’s carnage, all imported from the same company. As emergency services respond to the crisis, the Lebanese Army advises against gathering at the scenes to facilitate medical assistance.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah condemns the attacks, vowing that those responsible – believed to be linked to Israel – will face retribution. Amidst the chaos, the UN Security Council is set to convene to address the escalating situation in Lebanon.
