In a recent act of terrorism targeted at Lebanon, Iran’s Ambassador to Beirut was injured in a blast caused by an explosive device. Iran’s representative to the UN, Eshaq Al-e Habib, condemned the attack in letters to UN officials, highlighting the rogue actions of the Israeli regime and calling for a strong response under international law.
The attack, which resulted in the death of at least 11 civilians and the injury of thousands more, including the Ambassador, is a clear violation of international law and poses a threat to regional peace and security. Al-e Habib called for the Security Council to hold Israel accountable for its actions and protect diplomatic missions and representatives.
The Iranian government reserves its right to take necessary measures in response to this heinous crime, which is considered a crime against humanity. Urgent action is needed to address the continued aggression of the Zionist regime and ensure the safety of civilians in the region.
The international community, especially the UN Security Council, must condemn Israel’s actions and take decisive steps to prevent further violence and terrorism. Cooperation is essential to eliminate international terrorism and protect diplomatic missions worldwide.
