Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic Collaborate on Industrial Trade Complex
In a significant move towards enhancing industrial trade and logistics, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ratified an agreement with the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The agreement focuses on the establishment and regulation of activities at the industrial trade and logistics complex situated in the area of the Karasu and Ak-Tilek road checkpoints.
Spanning across a total area of 7.6 square kilometers, with the Kazakh section covering 3.6 square kilometers and the Kyrgyz section 4 square kilometers, the complex aims to promote industrial cooperation. It will offer services such as warehousing, storage, consolidation, processing, and manufacturing of new products to facilitate seamless integration into international supply chains.
Furthermore, the complex will provide a range of services including temporary storage, logistics support, rental of trading spaces, pre-sale preparation, consolidation of goods, handling of export-import documentation, and legal and financial consultations. This collaboration signifies a step towards fostering economic growth and enhancing trade relations between the two countries.
