Massive Explosion of Hezbollah Pagers Shakes Beirut
Chaos erupted at Beirut’s Hotel Dieu hospital as thousands of Hezbollah members’ pagers exploded simultaneously, causing severe injuries and claiming lives. The hospital was overwhelmed with more than 120 wounded individuals filling all available beds by night. Over 3,000 people were injured, with at least 12 fatalities, in what is suspected to be an Israeli operation against Hezbollah members.
Experts believe Israel’s spy agency, Mossad, rigged the pagers with explosives in a sophisticated infiltration maneuver. The explosions left dozens critically injured, prompting a massive rescue effort. This attack marks a significant escalation in tensions in the region, with fears of further conflict looming.
Hezbollah vowed retaliation, calling the operation its biggest security breach. However, concerns about a full-scale war persist, with Israel showing no signs of backing down. The UN and human rights groups have condemned the attacks, labelling them as potential war crimes.
As Lebanon grapples with the aftermath, the future remains uncertain, with residents anxiously awaiting the recovery of their loved ones and bracing for potential further escalations.
