BAC Consulting KFT Company in Budapest Under Scrutiny After Explosions in Lebanon
A Taiwanese manufacturing firm, Gold Apollo, has found itself at the center of a global controversy after pagers bearing its hallmark exploded in Lebanon, allegedly used by Hezbollah. The Taiwanese government has initiated a judicial investigation into the company’s involvement, denying any direct export of explosive pagers to Lebanon and emphasizing that pagers made in Taiwan cannot explode.
The trail has led to Europe, specifically to a Budapest-based firm, BAC Consulting. Gold Apollo has authorized BAC to use its brand name, with the model AR-924, confirmed to be the one that detonated in Lebanon, being produced and sold by BAC.
Efforts to obtain information about BAC Consulting have proven challenging, with the firm having a limited online presence. CEO Christiana Barsony-Arcidiacono denied manufacturing the explosive pagers and claimed to be an intermediary between Gold Apollo and the actual manufacturer. Questions have been raised about potential legal breaches if explosive materials were tampered with in an EU member country.
As investigations continue, the speculation surrounding the explosions in Lebanon only intensifies, with implications for regional security and international relations.
