Exciting news for Morocco as Survitec, a leading British survival technology provider, has selected the country as one of the first recipients of its innovative Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) for the F-16 Viper Block 70/72 fighter jet. This state-of-the-art AFE system, developed over three years and officially approved in August 2024, is now in mass production, with deliveries to Morocco expected to begin in January 2025.
Morocco’s strategic importance as a key defense partner has led to this prioritization, signaling a deepening of defense cooperation between the two nations. The AFE system will enhance the operational efficiency of Morocco’s upgraded F-16 Viper fleet, aligning them with F-35 program standards.
Survitec’s commercial director, Nick Mulhall, expressed pride in prioritizing Morocco for this cutting-edge equipment, which integrates a flight jacket, life vest, and lightweight suit for enhanced pilot safety and comfort. Morocco is set to be among the first to deploy this advanced technology, showcasing its commitment to modernizing its defense capabilities.
