Welcome to the latest update on the cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Justice and Eurojust, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation. Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan recently met with Eurojust President Ladislav Hamran to discuss joint efforts in fighting organized crime, terrorism, money laundering, trafficking, and other serious crimes.
They celebrated the recent ratification of the cooperation agreement and the signing of a Working Arrangement to implement it. Minister Minasyan highlighted the strong partnership formed between Armenia and the EU’s law enforcement and justice bodies, focusing on personal data protection and other shared interests.
Eurojust President Ladislav Hamran praised Armenia’s commitment to the rule of law through joining Eurojust, emphasizing the importance of appointing a dedicated prosecutor for cooperation. Prosecutor-General Anna Vardapetyan expressed optimism about the agreement’s contribution to combating transnational crimes.
