Welcome to the Launch of the National Digital Economy Programme in Buraimi
The third round of the National Digital Economy Programme took off in Buraimi with the goal of advancing digital infrastructure and supporting Oman Vision 2040. Hosted by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, the event boasted the presence of key entities like the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and the Central Bank of Oman.
The program highlighted eight executive pillars including Government Digital Transformation, E-Commerce, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Digital Infrastructure. These initiatives play a crucial role in boosting Oman’s digital economy and preparing the nation for future technological advancements.
Presentations and discussions underscored the importance of e-commerce, financial technologies, and digital transformation. The event aimed to engage government employees, students, and job seekers, fostering an open dialogue to gather feedback and ideas for the program’s future direction.
Officials stressed the importance of decentralisation and urged active participation from all Omani governorates to achieve collective success.
