The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has filed a case regarding the recent attack on a diplomatic convoy in Swat, in which a policeman was martyred. The convoy of foreign diplomats, from 12 countries, was returning to Islamabad from Malam Jabba when an improvised explosive device targeted their vehicle. Fortunately, the diplomats remained unharmed.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement in the attack, which prompted the CTD to file a First Information Report (FIR) under various sections of the law. The incident is part of a series of terrorist attacks in KP, as highlighted by the Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) report.
With an increase in attacks on security forces and law enforcement agencies, it is evident that militant groups are attempting to disrupt peace and stability in the region. It is crucial for authorities to take swift action to prevent further loss of life and protect the citizens of Pakistan.
