Reviving Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur: President Aliyev Highlights Infrastructure Investments
In a recent address to the Milli Majlis, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan revealed that 19 billion manats will be spent by the end of this year on post-war reconstruction efforts. The majority of these funds are being directed towards infrastructure projects aimed at revitalizing Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur.
Aliyev also emphasized the importance of returning former Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their homes, with over 8,000 already resettled in the region. This number is expected to grow steadily with each passing month.
Furthermore, the President highlighted ongoing construction projects including schools, hospitals, and social facilities in the area. The overarching goal is to facilitate the revival and development of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, showcasing Azerbaijan’s commitment to rebuilding and revitalizing the region post-conflict.
