Stranded Seniors Battling Snowstorm on N3 Highway
- A group of elderly travellers, with the oldest being 90 years old, were stranded for 26 hours during a snowstorm on the N3.
- Ill-prepared for freezing temperatures, they fought the cold and hunger with limited resources.
- Rescue teams eventually arrived, allowing them to continue their journey back to Johannesburg.
After enduring 26 hours stranded on the N3 highway during a snowstorm, a group of 15 senior citizens clung to their faith and prayed for a miracle. The group, led by 90-year-old Dorothy Rosenberg, had been returning from a holiday in Port Edward when heavy snowfall forced the closure of the N3 in both directions.
Despite their lack of preparedness for freezing temperatures, the seniors faced the challenge with resilience. With their prayers answered by the arrival of rescue teams, they were able to safely continue their journey home to Johannesburg.
The group’s resilience and reliance on faith in the face of adversity serve as an inspirational reminder of the strength that comes from unity and belief in a higher power.
