Tragedy struck in Muruou village as armed assailants took the lives of a herdsman and a 10-year-old boy without taking any cattle, leaving the motive of the attack unknown. Oleyo Akwer Nyalus, GPAA’s Information minister, condemned the attack by elements from Jebel Boma County, highlighting the worsening security situation in the region.
With clashes in the same area occurring just the week before, the government is striving to restore peace by organizing rallies and a peace conference. The recent attack, along with previous incidents, has left areas like Muruou, Jebel Boma, and Pochalla in unrest.
As the authorities work towards peace, it is crucial for the community to remain calm amidst the violence plaguing GPAA. The vicious cycle of attacks and raids on cattle compounds the existing challenges, calling for swift action to ensure the safety and security of the residents.
