The Bauchi State Government has presented a supplementary budget of N94.676 billion to the State House of Assembly for approval, aiming to accelerate development projects for the welfare of residents.
Governor Bala Mohammed is dedicated to advancing infrastructure, human capital, health, and education sectors, as stated in the request read by Deputy Majority Leader, Babayo Akuyam.
Furthermore, the establishment of a Food Security and Nutrition Committee is in progress to combat hunger and malnutrition, with a focus on improving the nutritional status of vulnerable groups like women, children, and IDPs.
The committee will ensure the implementation of food and nutrition initiatives aligned with the National Multisectoral Strategic Plan of Action for Food and Nutrition, as declared by Majority Leader Akuyam.
