Lebanese Hezbollah launched a powerful attack on the Israeli Elanya military base by firing Fadi-1 missiles, as reported by Sky News. In a bold statement, Hezbollah declared the attack as a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and a defense of Lebanon and its people.
The Elanya base, part of the 146th Reserve Division under the Northern Region Command, was targeted by Hezbollah’s new Fadi-1 missiles in response to Israeli airstrikes that killed their military leaders in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Hezbollah’s Weaponry
The Fadi-1 missile, weighing 83 kg with a caliber of 220 mm and a range of 70 km, was used for the first time by Hezbollah in this attack. This weapon, introduced during the 2006 war, is designed to disrupt defense systems and can be launched from mobile or fixed positions.
Hezbollah also targeted the Israeli Ramat David military base and the Rafael Military Industries complex in Haifa with Fadi-2 missiles. This move signifies Hezbollah’s strength and determination to defend its territory against Israeli aggression.
