Israeli Army Reports Rocket Attacks From Lebanon
The Israeli army confirmed that 40 rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel, heightening tensions with Hezbollah. Air-raid sirens rang out in multiple cities in northern Israel, including Safed and Tiberias. The military intercepted some of the projectiles, with no reported injuries.
Reports indicated interceptions over the city of Safad, prompting the Israeli army to promise continued attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. In response, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for shelling Hatzor settlement and Dado military base in northern Israel.
Israel has conducted airstrikes in Lebanon, resulting in casualties and drawing concern from the international community. This escalation follows the conflict in Gaza, where over 41,400 individuals, including many civilians, have lost their lives.
Hezbollah’s actions were described as support for Palestinians in Gaza and defense of Lebanon. The cross-border conflict between Hezbollah and Israel threatens to spread the regional unrest.
