A violent day in Lebanon as at least 10 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Hezbollah strongholds in the country’s south and east. Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported casualties in several towns, with Ain Qana, Al-Maaysra, and Joun among those affected.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed to have hit over 100 targets in Lebanon in their extensive strikes. Aerial assaults targeted towns like Nabi Sheet and Al-Muaisira, causing widespread damage and casualties.
Cross-border attacks saw around 40 projectiles launched from Lebanon into Israel, with one hitting an assisted-living facility near Safed. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Tensions continue to escalate as Israel and Hezbollah engage in retaliatory strikes following deadly attacks earlier in the week, marking a dangerous escalation in the region.
