Kano State Governor Welcomes 30 Opposition Members to NNPP
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently welcomed 30 members from opposition parties who decided to join the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
These new NNPP members, including top-ranking individuals who contested in the 2023 general elections under Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and National Rescue Movement (NRM), were warmly embraced at a special event held at Africa House, Government House, Kano.
The leaders of the opposition parties expressed their decision to join NNPP due to Governor Yusuf’s genuine efforts to create a better society, highlighting the government’s commendable projects in the health and education sectors as a driving factor.
Governor Yusuf commended the decampees for their courage in facing the truth amidst political distractions, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to socio-economic development based on the party’s manifesto and Kwankwasiyya ideology.
He assured the new members of their involvement in shaping the policies and programs for Kano’s overall development within the NNPP.
