Israeli Aggression Claims Lives of 23 Syrian Nationals in Lebanon
A recent wave of Israeli aggression in eastern Lebanon has resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 23 Syrian nationals, most of whom were women and children. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the fatalities occurred during an Israeli raid on a building housing Syrian refugees in Yunin, near Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley. The Lebanese Red Cross and Hezbollah’s paramedic service were among the responders, recovering bodies and assisting the injured.
In response to Israel’s attacks, Hezbollah retaliated by targeting military complexes and settlements in northern Israel. The escalating conflict has drawn international attention, with calls for a ceasefire from the United States, France, and other Western and Arab allies. Despite the turmoil, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati remains hopeful for a peaceful resolution, emphasizing the need for Israel’s commitment to upholding international resolutions.
These recent events mark the latest chapter in the ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, which escalated last year after the Israeli regime’s genocidal actions in Gaza. The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to continue its retaliatory strikes as long as Israel persists in its violent actions, which have claimed the lives of countless innocent civilians.
