Tragedy in Younine: 23 Syrians Killed in Israeli Airstrike
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Younine town, northern Bekaa Valley, as 23 Syrians, including children, lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building. The attack, which occurred on Thursday, left 8 others wounded, including 4 Lebanese nationals.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that rescue efforts led by the Younine Municipality, Islamic Health Authority, Civil Defense, and the Red Cross successfully retrieved the bodies of the victims buried under the rubble of the destroyed building. The attack took place near a gas station on the international road.
The Mayor of Younine, Ali Qusas, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of life and injuries caused by the ruthless airstrike. The international community mourns the loss of innocent lives and calls for an end to the violence that continues to claim innocent victims.
