Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently participated in a discussion titled “Leadership for peace: united in respect of the UN Charter, in search of a secure future” organized in the UN Security Council. During his speech, PM Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Slovenia for hosting the debate and highlighted the importance of global security in today’s world.
He emphasized the need for the UN to remain resilient against attempts to normalize the use of force in interstate relations and human rights violations. PM Pashinyan also stated his government’s dedication to closing the chapter of conflict in the region and promoting cooperation for prosperity and peace.
Furthermore, he mentioned Armenia’s readiness to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan and proposed signing agreed articles before COP29 in Baku. The Crossroads of Peace initiative aims to unlock economic potential, strengthen ties, and contribute to achieving comprehensive peace in the region.
