In a recent attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, gunmen abducted 20 laborers from a camp, marking the second assault in as many days. The assailants torched machinery and kidnapped the men employed by a private energy company, with separatists accusing the central government of exploitation in resource-rich Balochistan.
No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnappings or the fatal shooting of seven men from Punjab, targeted to leave the region by separatists. Punjab’s Information Minister expressed outrage and demanded action to ensure the safety of Punjabis in Balochistan.
One survivor recounted the horrific attack, where gunmen stormed the room while the workers were sleeping, killing seven young men preparing for their weddings. The incident has left families devastated and sparked chaos in their hometowns.
Authorities are investigating the escalating violence in Balochistan, as concerns grow over the safety of workers and residents in the troubled province.
