The Israeli Defense Forces have conducted these attacks as part of ‘Operation Northern Arrows,’ causing significant casualties and infrastructure damage. Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati expressed concern over the unprecedented exodus and called for diplomatic efforts to stop Israeli aggression. Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad criticized Israeli attacks, accusing them of spreading fear and causing mass displacement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue military operations against Hezbollah, despite ceasefire proposals. The IDF claimed to have eliminated most of Hezbollah’s senior military leaders, including their leader Hassan Nasrallah. The militant group confirmed Nasrallah’s death and vowed to continue their fight. Reports suggest that the IDF is planning to enter southern Lebanon, although the operation is expected to be limited. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. General Herzi Halevi emphasized the need to secure the return of displaced Israeli civilians before considering any military escalation.
