Exciting News: Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship Registration Now Open!
Calling all students across Punjab! The registration for the prestigious ‘Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship’ programme has officially begun. This initiative aims to award scholarships to 30,000 talented students annually across 68 different disciplines. Students from public sector universities, medical colleges, and graduate colleges will benefit from this opportunity.
With a whopping total of 130 billion rupees allocated for scholarships over the next four years, 120,000 students are set to receive financial assistance through this programme. This move was approved by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who also directed the authorities to expand the number of scholarships available.
During a recent meeting, CM Maryam announced that 100% of BS students’ fees from selected universities would be covered by the scholarship. She emphasized the importance of supporting the private sector to enhance higher education opportunities, especially for students in remote areas.
