Baku hosts signing of Declaration on Zero Emission Freight Transportation
Baku, Azerbaijan, October 1 – The international conference held in Baku during Climate Action Week saw the signing of the “Declaration on Zero Emission Freight Transportation.” Companies signing the declaration committed to achieving zero emissions in their operations.
Climate Action Week, taking place from September 30 to October 4, 2024, is being hosted in Baku for the first time and will set the stage for the upcoming COP29 in November. The event brings together stakeholders from various fields like politics, finance, trade, investment, science, arts, culture, civil society, and media.
The week’s agenda includes discussions on climate solutions, with the first half focusing on government agencies, academia, and the private sector, and the second half on science, education, arts, culture, and other sectors. Various events have been organized throughout the city as part of Climate Week.
