Hezbollah Denies Israeli Claims of Clashes in Lebanon
Hezbollah’s media representative, Mohammad Afif, refuted Israeli army reports of clashes between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. Afif stated that no ground confrontations had occurred and warned that Hezbollah was prepared to defend Lebanese territory.
In response, Israeli officials claimed fierce battles were ongoing in southern Lebanon, urging residents to avoid travel. However, reports indicate that the forces involved were executing limited operations, with no confirmed ground clashes.
Hezbollah announced targeting Israeli soldiers and equipment, achieving direct hits near Israeli settlements. These actions were in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and in defense of Lebanon.
The UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon faced challenges conducting patrols due to intense airstrikes and missile attacks, as the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel resulted in over a thousand casualties in Lebanon.
