Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah addressed the participants of the National Security and War Course 2024-25, highlighting the government’s efforts to combat extremism and terrorism. The CM emphasized intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, community engagement, and outreach programs to prevent radicalization.
Various initiatives have been implemented to strengthen the police force, including training programs, infrastructure development, and the launch of projects like the Karachi Safe City Project and Sindh Smart Surveillance System. The CM also announced fiscal changes for 2024-25, with a total budget outlay of Rs3.056 trillion, focusing on revenue, development projects, and capital expenditure.
Furthermore, the government’s response to the 2022 floods and ongoing efforts in infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture development were highlighted. Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and housing reconstruction programs demonstrate Sindh’s commitment to recovery and long-term development.
During the session, CM Murad addressed concerns about local bodies’ funding and development, underscoring the province’s dedication to strengthening governance at the grassroots level.
