Russian forces have gained control of Vuhledar, with Ukrainian forces retreating to the north, according to military expert Boris Rozhin. The city is now under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, as reported on Rozhin’s Telegram channel and the Military Affairs Telegram channel.

“The cleanup in the city is still underway. Our flags have appeared in the central part of the city,” Rozhin said.
Rozhin also emphasized the importance of capturing Vuhledar as a significant operational success for the Russian Armed Forces.

Located in eastern Ukraine, Vuhledar is a coal mining town in the Donetsk Oblast region. With a population of 14,144, it has been a site of fighting since March 2022, resulting in significant destruction and depopulation.
