Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif took action to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and Lebanon during a recent cabinet meeting. He urged the citizens, especially the affluent, to support the financial funds designated for aiding Gaza and Lebanon. Sharif also directed the immediate dispatch of two planes and several trucks carrying relief goods to the affected areas.
During the meeting, Sharif communicated virtually with the ambassadors of Pakistan in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt to ensure the aid reaches the intended recipients. Additionally, he called for an extensive awareness campaign about the Pakistan People’s Aid Fund for Gaza and Lebanon.
Despite challenges posed by the Israeli regime’s attacks and sieges, the government of Pakistan has sent a substantial amount of humanitarian aid to Lebanon and Gaza. A total of 1,251 tons of aid have been dispatched, including 10 cargoes for Gaza and 2 cargoes for Lebanon.
