Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian child and set fire to olive trees in the West Bank
A disturbing incident occurred in the occupied West Bank when a group of illegal Israeli settlers attacked and injured a Palestinian child while also setting fire to olive trees on Tuesday. The settlers, from the Havat Maon outpost in the Masafer Yatta area of Hebron, abducted a 15-year-old boy named Salama Kaid Makhamra and beat him severely before leaving him near a village. The child was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Meanwhile, in the northern West Bank, settlers also set fire to olive trees belonging to Palestinian residents of the village of Yasouf, causing significant destruction. This attack is just one of 2,777 settler attacks reported in the West Bank since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, resulting in fatalities and displacement of families.
These incidents highlight the ongoing violence and aggression faced by Palestinians at the hands of illegal settlers and the Israeli military. The International Court of Justice has deemed Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land as illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the region.
