The Ogonis in Diaspora Organization have reached out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the political crisis in Rivers State. They expressed concern over the impact of the prolonged crisis on the state’s development and urged the President to address the situation.
In an open letter, Chief Ambrose Kii highlighted the negative effects of the crisis, attributing them to the actions of Minister Nyesom Wike. The Ogonis emphasized the need for President Tinubu’s intervention to restore peace and stability in the state.
They pointed out the contrast between Wike’s actions and those of past governors who peacefully handed over power. The Ogonis called for accountability for those responsible for the crisis and urged the President to take decisive action to ensure good governance in Rivers State.
