RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the publication of an Israeli map claiming Jordanian, Syrian, and Lebanese territories as part of “Greater Israel.”
The map, shared on official Israeli social media accounts, also falsely included parts of Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon as Israeli territory.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned the map, stating that such claims reveal Israel’s intent to deepen its occupation and violate international laws and state sovereignty.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasised that “such extreme claims highlight the (Israeli) occupation authorities’ intent to entrench their occupation and persist in blatant violations of the sovereignty of states and international laws and norms.”
The kingdom reiterated “its call for the international community to assume its responsibility in halting Israeli violations against the region’s countries and peoples and to stress the importance of respecting the sovereignty and borders of nations to mitigate regional crises and support efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.”
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry called the map a blatant breach of international law and resolutions. It warned that such actions hinder peace prospects, especially during the ongoing war in Gaza. Doha urged the international community to pressure Israel to abandon its expansionist agenda.
The UAE’s Foreign Ministry described the move as a deliberate effort to expand the occupation and flout international laws. It rejected any attempts to alter the legal status of Palestinian territories, warning of escalating tensions that undermine peace efforts.
The UAE reiterated its commitment to supporting peace initiatives in the Middle East, stressing the need for a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Other Arab countries, including Palestine and Jordan, have also condemned Israel’s provocative actions.
