The cold wave in Karachi is expected to persist until January 17, according to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz.
For the past six to seven days, the city’s temperature has remained between 9 to 10 degrees Celsius. Today’s maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Strong winds are expected in Karachi afternoon, as per Sardar Sarfraz.
In Balochistan, most areas may witness rain after January 20, while upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience rain and snowfall.

Rain and snowfall are also expected in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz added.
Meanwhile, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while temperatures will further drop in hilly areas during morning/night hours.
Moderate to dense fog (in patches) is likely in upper Sindh and most parts of Punjab during morning/night hours.
Frost is likely at a few places in the upper parts during morning hours.

Islamabad two degrees centigrade, Lahore eight, Karachi fifteen, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad three, Quetta minus one, Gilgit minus five and Murree zero degrees centigrade.
