Ukraine is an Eastern European country, and second-largest country after Russia. It became prominent at a world stage in 2022 when Russia launched its military operation in Ukraine under the leadership of Vladimir Putin. This has led to a growing concern as the Russia-Ukraine war rages 2 years on, with western nations supporting Ukraine with weapons to fight Russia. Tensions continue to rise as NATO appears to be getting dragged in the war, while the Ukrainian president maintains his stand of fighting to the end without compromise. The US elections seems to be the anticipated hope for the Ukraine ceasefire as the current administration remains steadfast on its stance of not allowing Ukraine to compromise for peace. 2025 will show whether the war will continue or peace and stability will prevail.
